Accessibility statement

Our commitment
AI Gov Europe AB is committed to making the AI Act Gov website usable by everyone, including people who rely on assistive technology. This statement describes the conformance level we target, the methods we use to verify it, and how to report any barrier you encounter.
Standard and conformance
This website targets WCAG 2.2 level AA as required by EN 301 549 v3.2.1 and the EU Web Accessibility Directive (2016/2102). We treat any gap to WCAG 2.2 AA as a defect, not as an acceptable trade-off.
Self-assessed conformance status: Partially conformant — the public site meets WCAG 2.2 AA with the known issues listed below.
Built-in accessibility features
- Semantic HTML with landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and ARIA labels on every region.
- Visible focus indicator (2 px outline, brand colour) on every interactive element.
- Skip-to-main-content link on every page.
- Touch targets of at least 44 by 44 CSS pixels (WCAG 2.2 SC 2.5.8).
- Reduced-motion support via the prefers-reduced-motion media query.
- Light and dark colour schemes with AA contrast in both.
- Full keyboard operability including the mobile menu and the language switcher.
- Forms with explicit labels, programmatic error linking, and live regions for status messages.
Known issues
The following gaps are tracked and scheduled. If you hit one, please report it so we can prioritise.
- Some long-form legal pages do not yet expose a section table of contents. WCAG 2.4.5 (multiple ways) is partially met via the footer navigation.
- The language switcher exposes 24 EU languages; only a subset has fully translated metadata. Untranslated strings fall back to English.
- Open Graph preview images are not yet localised per page.
Report an issue
If you find a barrier, please tell us. We aim to acknowledge accessibility reports within five working days.

Enforcement procedure
If you are not satisfied with our response, you can escalate the issue to the supervisory body in your EU member state. In Sweden the supervisory body is the Agency for Digital Government (DIGG).
